OCI’s design team provided mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering services for the comprehensive modernization of Palm Beach County School District’s Rosenwald Elementary School. The project included demolition of nine classroom and administrative buildings and constructing a new building to brings the instructional areas and administrative offices under one roof. The renewed campus has 314 student stations, a renovated cafetorium, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, a covered playground, and auxiliary buildings that house the central energy plant, and maintenance equipment. The energy conscientious HVAC system design includes two 110-ton air cooled high-efficiency chillers, seven thermal storage tanks, seven air handling units, and an emergency backup generator.
