The School Board of Oceola County’s new Middle School AA will serve 1,408 students on the 33-acre campus. The two-story academic building contains student classrooms, the administration offices, media center, kitchen, and a multi-purpose room. The athletic amenities include a one-story, 800-seat gymnasium building, a multi-purpose field with track, a baseball field, and basketball courts.
The HVAC design includes a chilled water VAV system comprised of two 250-ton chillers; central station chilled water indoor AHUs; a complete direct digital control system; and outside air reduction.
The Low voltage and IT/AV design for the new campus includes interactive smart boards in all classrooms; wireless access points throughout building with access control for certain doors; CCTV cameras in corridors for monitoring; a sound system for the stage; motion sensors; a fiber duct bank system to tie buildings together; outdoor horn speakers; voice and data; and a radio master unit.
Other design features for the concrete tilt wall panel and steel structure are a wet fire sprinkler systems and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
