OCI Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and IT/AV systems engineering design for the expansion of the Healthcare Center for the Homeless Dental Clinic in Orlando, Florida.
The design-build project incorporated 1,675 square feet of interior renovations and upgrades to the existing 10,646 square foot facility. Renovations involved enlarging the patient education room; the addition of two exam rooms; redesign of electrical outlets for the new and existing dental equipment; installation of four dental chair stations; and enlarging the pharmacy into the vacated hallway areas. An addition of 1,831 square feet was needed for administrative offices and additional patient treatment rooms. Improvements were also made to the conference room air-conditioning and electrical/IT/AV wiring for a future retractable projector screen and a mounted projector. ADA improvements were also made throughout the building.
