Bellamy Historic Parking Garage

Louisville, KY

About this Project

OCI Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design for the conversion of a 1928 plumbing fixture factory in Louisville, Kentucky into a parking garage. The local historic landmark was redeveloped to accommodate 630 parking spots through careful coordination of the design team and structural engineer with new reinforced concrete ramps by using the existing concrete columns.
The project was part of a development of an apartment complex development to serve the University of Louisville students. The four-level garage had over 270 steel windows, and frames cleaned, repaired and restores per the Secretary of Interior’s Standards. Over 65,000 square feet of the building was re-roofed, and over 1,250 linear feet of the brick parapet was tuckpointed as required.
