OCI Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, information technology and audio visual engineering design services for a remodel of a 3,500 square foot commercial storage and warehouse into a satellite office for Architectural Design Collaborative. Originally built in 1980, the building was once a much larger warehouse with ceiling heights extending more than 20 feet in height. The design team utilized as much recycled material content as possible during design and construction, as well as implementing the use of a variety of recycling bins to promote sustainability within the space. The redeveloped office interior was completed in 2009 and awarded a LEED® Silver certification with the USGBC and continues to shine as a project example to the firm’s new and existing clients for sustainable architecture, interior design, and engineering.
