OCI Associate’s design team provided HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical engineering design services for the new customs building at Boca Raton Airport. The HVAC design is comprised of a variable volume and temperature (VVT) system with individual or groups of spaces served by independent zone dampers. The IT service room is supplemented by a dedicated mini-split system to maintain space critical conditions for optimal equipment performance and to provide additional equipment redundancy. The plumbing design includes low flow fixtures in the restrooms and the break room. The electrical design includes a stand-by-generator to provide power in the event of a power outage. OCI’s commissioning team is provided commissioning services for this building that is USGBC LEED® Certification.
