OCI Associates, Inc provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and IT/AV engineering services for the renovation of Hillsborough County Public School’s Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida. This project entailed extensive improvements to the existing campus that serves over 2,000 students.
The project scope included the complete upgrade of the HVAC system, building controls, central energy plant; the electrical systems, fire detection and alarm systems; plumbing systems, and updated security systems. The campus-wide renovation included most of the campus buildings including the cafeteria and food service line; library, science labs, the performing arts building, and the new construction of a stairway. The project was completed in five phases to accommodate the occupied campus’ schedule and lesson any inconveniences. The renovations to the HVAC system includes a high-efficiency 350-ton central energy plant.
