OCI is under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to provide MEP design services for the various locations in the Philadelphia Region. Projects have included the various buildings at the SSA main complex in Baltimore, MD and the regional SSA building in Philadelphia, PA.
The project examples under this IDIQ is the renovation of various office spaces at Baltimore complex involving a survey of existing conditions, existing systems evaluation, coordination with a client for their specific requirements and preparing MEP design drawings and specifications. One of the projects involved disaster mitigation study for the National Computer Center which included field survey, evaluation of existing mechanical and electrical systems in the building and providing recommendation how to mitigate the disaster if it happens due to the failure of any system. Our team also prepared the computational fluid dynamics (CFD ) model to provide analysis of air flow and hot spots in the computer center. This model can be used for expansion of the data center and determine the HVAC system adjustments needed to meet the heat loads of new equipment. This model involved a field survey of existing mechanical system in the data center on the third floor and gathering information on all the heat producing equipment within the entire data center.
