The Gateway High School Classroom addition is a compact and cost-effective classroom building with many green and sustainable design features. The two-story building has 20 instructional spaces, provides classroom capacity for 495 students, and includes a Chemistry Lab, a Computer lab with 25 computers, and 18 high-tech classrooms equipped with “Smart Board” technology.
The 30,000-square foot classroom building has a cooling load of 110 tons. A new 200-ton chiller and a primary pump were provided to accommodate the new classroom building load plus replace the existing chiller.
