OCI Associates, Inc. provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering design services for the remodeling project at Disney’s Contemporary Resort which involved a renovation of the existing area of the 4th floor of the Grand Canyon Concourse and the Outer Rim Lounge. The original Outer Rim Lounge design was in place from 2000-2008 and became more recently updated. The Contemporary Resort is one of the first resort hotels opened at Walt Disney World back in 1971. The unique features of this 1,007 room resort include the mass transit system of Disney’s monorail that runs right through the center of the hotel concourse.
