OCI provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design engineering for the major renovation of the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The project involved a complete remodeling of the existing California Grill and 14th Floor VIP Suites. OCI was the original Engineers of Record for the 15th-floor renovation at the Contemporary Resort that converted the old Top of the World dinner theater into the California Grill in 1994. Before this project, OCI was also involved in the first renovation of the 14th Floor VIP Suites more than 20 years ago.
OCI has worked with the Walt Disney World group since the late 80’s and has completed over 100 projects for this client. OCI has designed nearly 300 restaurants throughout the United States. Those include Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Portobello’s Italian restaurant, Joe’s Crab Shack, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Brick House Tavern + Tap, China Coast, Asian Chao and McDonald’s.
