Captiva’s new Fire Station located in the historic district of Captiva Island, Florida is a 9,000 square foot, two-story building with three vehicles bays. Features of the new Fire Station include (3) back-in Apparatus Bays, ground floor administration offices, and living quarters with bunk rooms that can accommodate up to six fire fighters on the second floor. Also included is a Fitness Room, Day Room, Report Writing and Kitchen with a dining area. This fire station is located on a compact site that will include an emergency generator capable of powering the entire facility in the case of an emergency. Other site features include underground stormwater and septic tank with a lift station.
