Work involves administration of construction activities, including shop drawing logs, RFI responses and logs, and on-site observation and field report documentation. For commissioning projects, work involves functioning as the commissioning authority, providing reviews of design documents and contractor submittals, developing commissioning plans, checklists and functional test scripts, managing commissioning meetings, experience in leading owner project requirement meetings, monitoring construction, witnessing system installation, directing functional testing, ensuring all forms have been completed and signed off, assisting in training of O&M personnel, developing final reports, and post-occupancy walkthrough observations. For building audits and infrastructure assessments, work with Owner’s personnel, architects and/or engineers to survey sites/facilities and verify/assess condition and operation of equipment and systems.
Facilities may include a wide range of building types, including governmental (offices, airports), institutional (educational, healthcare, research labs), mission critical (data centers, hospitals, emergency operation centers), industrial and commercial.
Position requires strong experience with construction and knowledge of building mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection), electrical and related control systems, including system start-up and testing. Experience with commissioning process and methodology, strong communication skills, including technical writing, and organized documentation of data is important. Applicant must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the M, E, P design or building automation and commissioning industry. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to accept out-of-town travel assignments to meet project demands.Desired Certifications include CxA or CxT (from ACG), ACP or CCP (from (BCA) or similar Cx certifications from AEE or the University of Wisconsin, LEED accreditation (from USGBC)
